The greatest wrestling champion of wrestling and television’s Golden Era, Lou Thesz, dies of complications from heart surgery. The former six-time NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion held the title for a combined a total of just over ten years ( 3,749 days)

Thesz was 86 at the time of his passing. 

Today, we present ‘Icons of Wrestling’, a half-hour documentary in honor of greatest grappler of The Golden Age, Lou Thesz, who passed away on this day, in 2002
