WWE fans seem to ask the same question every year: When will The Undertaker be back inside the squared circle?
Well, now they may have their answer. During a recent episode of his YouTube show, freelance reporter Tom Colohue revealed that that The Undertaker is expected to return soon but not necessarily for a match at WrestleMania 36:
“The Undertaker will be appearing in Saudi Arabia next…It is very unlikely at this moment that The Undertaker will be ready for a match at WrestleMania. He has a very stringent and long-term system for exercising and working out into a peak condition for his matches…But if he wants to deliver to the standard that he believes he is capable of and which I think we’ve all seen that he is capable of, he needs to train…If he’s going to be at Saudi Arabia, he simply cannot be at WrestleMania afterward based on that regimen. He wouldn’t be peak, let’s say that. So, it sounds like he’ll be at Saudi Arabia instead of WrestleMania once again.” — Tom Colohue
WWE’s next Saudi Arabia show, Super Showdown, is officially set for February 27, and the timing of the event is unique because WWE has held its first of two annual shows there shortly after WrestleMania in each of the past two years. In 2020, however, the event will instead serve as WWE’s only February pay-per-view and will take place just over a week before Elimination Chamber.
