FOUND IN THE WILD: ‘Revenge of The Black Scorpion’

27 years ago this month, The Black Scorpion invaded Sting’s life and the imaginations of wrestling super sleuths everywhere, as WCW fans tried to solve the mystery of who was under the mask.

In what is considered one of the most misguided angles of all time, the ending turned out to be a lot like a Scooby-Doo episode: The mask came off, revealing Ric Flair and a very anti-climactic close to the story.

In that same vein, artist Neil Purcell has revived the Scorpion gimmick, but this time, in a much, much more appropriate setting…
