WWF presents the Vengeance pay per view, as it was wrapping up a very successful year of business. The show’s backdrop was the unifying of the WWF and WCW world titles to create a WWF Undisputed Championship.
Chris Jericho makes history by defeating The Rock to win the World Heavyweight Championship, and then defeating Steve Austin to capture the WWF World Championship, merging the the sport’s two biggest titles.
The Y2J effect had officially taken over the company, as Jericho left Vengeance that night as the first-ever WWF Undisputed Champion.
