TODAY IN PRO WRESTLING HISTORY… APRIL 6th: Patera & Saito go out for Burgers

DATELINE: APRIL 6, 1984 – WAUKESHA, WISCONSIN


After being denied service after hours at a McDonald’s restaurant, Ken Patera and Masa Saito allegedly throw a boulder-sized rock through the store’s window.

After returning to their hotel room, policemen were sent to arrest them. The pair attacked the group of arresting officers. Sixteen months later, at which point Patera was in the WWF, both men were sentenced to two years in prison. 


Masa Saito would return to pro wrestling and eventually capture the AWA World Heavyweight title in 1990. He passed away on July 14, 2018, due to complications from Parkinson’s Disease
