TODAY IN PRO WRESTLING HISTORY… JUNE 13TH: The Hitman takes the Crown Again

DATELINE:   JUNE 13, 1993 – NUTTER CENTER – DAYTON, OH

Bret Hart defeats Bam Bam Bigelow in the finals to win the 1993 King of the Ring Tournament before a crowd of 6500.

The crown was Hart’s second consecutive KOTR win. The Hitman is the only man in history to have won the now-defunct tournament on two occasions. It’s also interesting to note: the Dayton attendance is the smallest crowd to ever see a King of the Ring Tournament.
