TODAY IN PRO WRESTLING HISTORY… MARCH 1st: Taz and Bam Bam Break the Ring

DATELINE: MARCH 1, 1998 – CONVENTION CENTER – ASBURY PARK, NJ

At ECW Living Dangerously, Bam Bam Bigelow defeats Taz to win the World Television Championship.

The most memorable moment of the match (and the night) came when Taz had Bigelow locked in the Tazmission. Bigelow fell backwards intentionally in an attempt to break the hold, but the weight of the two men broke the wooden ring under the canvas.

With Taz knocked unconscious, Bigelow pulled him back in the ring and made the pin to capture the title.
