TODAY IN PRO WRESTLING HISTORY… MARCH 9th: ECW is No Longer Living Dangerously

DATELINE: MARCH 9, 2001 – PHILADELPHIA, PA


ECW officially cancels Living Dangerously 2001 just two days before the show was set to take place, effectively signalling the end of the Philly-based promotion.

The company had been off television since losing their slot on TNN to WWE, and owner Paul Heyman also began appearing on WWF programming as a color commentator.  ECW had not ran a show since January 13, would file for bankruptcy in April 2001.
