DATELINE: NOV. 17, 1996 – MADISON SQUARE GARDEN – NEW YORK, NY


At Survivor Series, fresh-faced rookie Dwayne Johnson debuts in the World Wrestling Federation under the ring name, Rocky Maivia. He teams with Jake Roberts, Marc Mero and The Stalker (Barry Windham) in a 4-on-4 Survivor Series elimination match to defeat Crush, Jerry Lawler, Goldust and Hunter Hearst Helmsley

He would, of course, turn heel months later after returning from an injury, and re-brand himself as The Rock. And the rest, as they say, is history…
