In what is often referred to now as ‘The Original Screwjob’, The Fabulous Moolah dons a mask as The Spider Lady, and defeats Wendi Richter for the WWF Womens title in a highly dubious finish.
Richter had been in a contract dispute with Vince McMahon, and the WWF owner felt that he needed to get the championship belt away from her. So, to assure a victory, he sent Moolah in under the hood to guarantee the finish he wanted.
