Michael Hegstrand, known to wrestling fans all over the world as Road Warrior Hawk, dies of a sudden heart attack in his home. He was 46 years old at the time of his passing.
Hawk was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011, with his partner Animal (Joe Laurinaitis) and manager Paul Ellering, as part of The Road Warriors/Legion of Doom.
