DATELINE: SEPT. 22, 1984 – MADISON SQUARE GARDEN – NEW YORK,  NY


Bobby Heenan makes his WWF debut, managing Big John Studd as he defeated WWF Champion Hulk Hogan by countout. 

Heenan had originally come from the American Wrestling Association to be the manager for Jesse “The Body” Ventura. Blood clots in Ventura’s lungs prevented him from competing that night- and would eventually force him away from the ring permanently.
