TODAY IN PRO WRESTLING HISTORY… SEPT. 28th: Stone Cold’s Wild Zamboni Ride

DATELINE: SEPT. 28, 1998 – MONDAY NIGHT RAW – DETROIT, MI

Stone Cold Steve Austin crashes a ceremony that Vince McMahon had set up to decide who to award the vacated WWF title between Kane and The Undertaker. In a move that has gone down in pro wrestling lore, The Rattlesnake barreled down to the ring while driving a Zamboni.

During his crazy cruise to ringside, Austin memorably broke a few light fixtures and temporarily knocked out audio of the live broadcast.
