TODAY IN PRO WRESTLING HISTORY… MARCH 30th: Brock Lesnar is a Shooting Star

DATELINE: MARCH 30, 2003 – SAFECO FIELD – SEATTLE, WA


At WrestleMania XIX in Seattle, Brock Lesnar defeats Kurt Angle to win the WWE Championship, despite nearly breaking his neck attempting a shooting star press.

It was Lesnar’s second world title victory. He would hold the belt for 119 days, before losing it back to Angle on July 27th, 2003, at Vengeance.
