TODAY IN PRO WRESTLING HISTORY… NOV 29th: Hall Trashes The TV Title

DATELINE: NOV. 29, 1999 – WCW MONDAY NITRO – DENVER, CO

Eight days after winning the WCW World Television championship, Scott Hall and his partner, Kevin Nash, unceremoniously discard the physical title belt in a trash can backstage.

Hall had captured the title from Rick Steiner at the Mayhem pay per view. The title would later be resurrected, after it was fished out of the garbage by Hacksaw Jim Duggan, who declared himself the new champion.

The title would eventually be dropped altogether in the Spring of 2000.
