Salvador Lutteroth Gonzales promoted his first card professional wrestling card under the banner of Empresa Mexicana de la Lucha Libre, which came to be known worldwide as simply EMLL

In the mid-80’s, the promotion became known as Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), and at 85 years of existence, is the oldest surviving wrestling promotion in the world.
