WWE has pulled off quite a few shocking babyface and heel turns in recent months, moving names like Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles and Rusev to the opposite side of the fence.
Now, yet another marquee name could join them. According to the Wrestling Observer (h/t Cageside Seats), WWE has been testing the waters for a potential babyface turn for Randy Orton:

During a recent untelevised segment, Orton and Kevin Owens “took out” a number of WWE’s Cruiserweight heels, which the Observer’s Dave Meltzer has said was a way to gauge interest in a major turn for “The Viper.” During last month’s WWE Draft, Orton was drafted to Raw after having been a prominent fixture on SmackDown since being drafted to the blue brand back in 2016. While a member of the SmackDown roster, Orton has performed as both a heel and a babyface, but regardless of the role he’s been in, he’s remained one of the most popular stars in all of WWE.
