In 2019, WWE has been no stranger to its stars wanting to leave the company, and though it has been hesitant to let those stars go, times they are a changing.
It was recently reported by the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer (h/t WrestlingNews.co) that there is an internal push within WWE to release unhappy superstars. More specifically, it’s been reported that WWE is more willing than ever to let those disgruntled superstars go if the belief is that they won’t really make much of an impact should they end up in AEW. WWE is looking into its crystal ball and assuming that most of its dissatisfied performers aren’t going to turn the tide in the new wrestling war should they join the competition.
And according to Sportskeeda’s Tom Colohue, WWE officials aren’t worried about unhappy NXT superstars potentially leaving for AEW:
“WWE officials meanwhile have shown little to no concern about losing NXT stars to AEW or other competitors, despite many members of the locker room having significant ties to those other companies.”… Read More HERE
