WWE superstars are increasingly worried about their job security due to circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Paul Davis of WrestlingNews.co, there is “some concern” among WWE’s own superstars that the company may enact “talent cuts” to offset the losses incurred as a result of COVID-19:
“There is some concern among a few wrestlers in WWE about releases that could be coming when things get back to normal…People in the company have talked about how the company is unlikely to hit revenue projections this year and there will be pressure to cut back on costs. Vince McMahon has offered big contracts to keep wrestlers from going elsewhere but given what is going on in the world, some lower card wrestlers have privately acknowledged that there may be some tough decisions made this year and there is a fear of talent cuts coming at some point.” — Paul Davis of WrestlingNews.co
